Why we are no longer supporting IE7 (Internet Explorer 7)

We're throwing in the towel and will no longer be supporting the web browser Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and older versions. As the web continues to evolve, older browsers simply cannot support many of the technologies needed to provide a fast and user friendlyexperience for ShiftNote.

As of January 2014, w3schools is showing that less than 1% of internet users are using IE7. Mega sites like Facebook and Google have long since dropped their support of IE7. It takes an enormous amount of time to make sure that ShiftNote works on IE7, and we'd like to spend that time enhancing the current features and functionality of ShiftNote, and crafting new and better experiences. Thus we have decided to no longer support IE7.

If you are not sure what browser you are currently using, you can visit this website to double check. If you are one of the few internet users still browsing with IE7, we urge you to upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer, or one of the other browsers below.

Upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Here is a list of other web browsers that you can download and install for free. We prefer Google Chrome, but we support them all.

If you have further questions about our browser support, or need help switching your web browser, please contact ShiftNote support.
