Day 1 - The National Restaurant Association Show

We made it through day 1! The whole team arrived in one piece to Chicago. I've been to Chicago many times, but this is my first ever National Restaurant Association Show. Several of the ShiftNote team members have been before, so they're helping me to prepare for what is one of the largest trade shows I've ever been to in my life. This thing is huge! The advice I've gotten so far is to come hungry.

It took me a few tries just to find our booth since there are 3, yes 3, exhibit halls. I stopped at more than one NRA information desk to find my way to the team. Everyone was extremely helpful, and I think I now have my bearing. There was some crazy setup going on in all the trade show halls as booths were going up, and all are gearing up for tomorrow when the show opens to the public.

We spent the day building out our booth, and are so excited to share with everyone the amazing things that ShiftNote can do to help restaurant communication. I'm equally as excited to make my way through each trade show floor to see all the restaurant products on display. I'll be doing a blog post each day to recap what I see, who I talk to, and the fun things that are going on at the ShiftNote booth.

If you're at the show, please come stop by booth #6372! If you check in on FourSquare, we'll give you a free t-shirt, and you can enter for a chance to win an iPad mini! We also have some cool sunglasses that will be perfect for the sunshine tomorrow.

After the booth setup was complete, the team went out for a fantastic dinner at Del Frisco's. What a cool place! There was an amazing atmosphere and equally as amazing food! It was a great way to wrap up day 1 at the NRA Show, and an even better way to spend time with the team. Until tomorrow!
